ABOUT THE
HOUSE | |
|
|
The house itself is a two bedroom ranch
with a deck and is about 150’ off Center Pond. All rooms are wall to wall
carpeted. Both bedrooms have
a double bed, a bureau, dresser and a night stand. The living room has a fireplace
for those quiet times together and a patio door going out to the deck, a L
shaped sofa that can sleep two, a 21” color TV with a VCR. The living room is done in stone
and deep burgundy. The house
also has a telephone, satellite TV, answering machine and a gas BB-Q grill on the deck
for those outdoor cookouts.
The kitchen/dining
area seats four and has ample counter space along with a refrigerator.
Cooking is done on a four burner gas stove and a micro-wave oven. There is a crock pot, drip coffer
maker, electric frying pan, blender and an assortment of pots and pans for
cooking, casserole dishes and dishes, silverware and cups. You can cook just about anything
but who goes on vacation to cook? The bathroom is tiled with a shower/tub and a flush
toilet. The house has hot and cold water. Water is
taken from a 250’ well. Heat
when needed is from a gas fired hot air system or the fireplace. The house is year around
livable. Center Pond itself is a clean, clear and warm lake, being no more than eighteen feet deep at the deepest part and a mile long which accounts for it’s warm temperature. Many of Maine’s lakes are very cold because of the depth and being spring fed. The fishing is good since it is not a heavily fished lake. There is an abundance of pike and bass. The lake also has a family of loons which can be heard throughout the day and into the evening and after sunset, joining in the chorus is frogs and crickets. There is a dock to swim from and tie up the boat that is available and also a deck at the lakefront just to relax. SUPPLIES AND AMENITIES |
